Questioning Styles & Strategies
Teachers are encouraged to upgrade their verbal skills so that they can ask questions in each of the four learning styles. The deliberate asking of quesitons in each of the styles not only provides students with more opportunities to think in their own style preferences, but also enriches the presentation of the curriculum by exposing it to review and analysis from each of the four learning positions. Thinking is best encouraged by having the students' inner-thought process converted to extensive in-class speaking. To encourage student speech the teacher now has a model, not only for how to vary the nature of the questions asked, but also for the deepening of student thinking.
