John Bayley is a keynote speaker, teacher, lecturer, author, consultant and Assertive Discipline® trainer. He brings a broad and successful career to the training arena. He has been a lecturer at University College London and the London School of Economics, and a specialist trainer for the Institute of Education, University of London.
He is experienced in mainstream secondary teaching and until recently he was Head of Service with 60 specialist staff in the Learning Support Service and Pupil Referral unit in the London Borough of Southwark. OFSTED described the unit and his leadership as ‘outstanding’.
John has just completed co-writing with Geoff Moss the highly acclaimed series on the current status of Discipline Policy and Behaviour Practice for Managing Schools Today magazine.
Working in the media, John has achieved national fame as the behaviour guru of ‘Teaching with Bayley’ on Teachers TV, which shows him working with teachers in the classroom, using video evidence to analyse their management styles and help them become more successful.
